Why cancel the remainder of Season 2020, why not postpone?
La Boite was devastated to cancel all remaining productions in its 2020 mainstage season including the scheduled performances of St Joan of the Stockyards, Grug, The Happy Prince and Brothers Book Club. We investigated every possible option to postpone or reschedule programmed work, however unfortunately the unpredictability of the ongoing COVID-19 situation prevented us from doing so in 2020. It was important to make the decision early to provide a definitive outcomes for everyone involved and to ensure La Boite remains strong for 2021 and beyond.
Will I get a refund on my tickets and Season Passes?
La Boite’s Box Office staff will contact all ticketholders over the coming weeks to discuss options including a full refund, credit or donating the cost of the ticket back to La Boite to help us nurture emerging artists and support the creation of world-class theatre. Your support will enable us to continue exploring new arts practice, engage with our community through our youth and education programs and invest in the next generation of theatre makers and audiences.
La Boite champions charitable giving during this time and we encourage our entire La Boite family to show compassion and generosity. We support the work of The Actors’ and Entertainers’ Benevolent Fund of Queensland, who have provided emergency assistance via financial support to creatives in need for more than 45 years.
We thank all ticketholders for your patience while we navigate this process as quickly and smoothly as possible and we look forward to welcoming you back.
